Homemade Godzilla 自製哥吉拉

I really like this bandai monster art Millennium Godzilla the design is really impress me and it make me want to homemade a Godzilla figurine.

The inner body making
I use tinsel for the bone, make it become a creature shape and sponge is using for making it looks fat.

用鐵線捆綁成一個人形的骨架，之後用海綿來增加厚度，讓骨架看起來胖一點。

apply the cloth on the bone, I just glues the cloth without sew up.

開始製作一層外衣，我是直接用膠水把布粘上。

Tail making- using the same method with the body, tinsel cover by a sponge.

使用和聖體一樣的製作方式，將海綿包著鐵線，形成尾巴的形狀。

stick the tail with the body and cover with the cloth.

將尾巴和身體粘上結合，之後再包上一層布。

 

Head making- I use masking tap to make a shape of Godzilla's head and eva foam for making the details.

頭部是用不透光膠紙捏成哥吉拉的形狀，之後使用Eva膠來做哥吉拉的紋路細節。

Body- the body is covered by Eva foam, I use this kind of paper rope for covering the gap between foams.

身體也是用eva膠來製作，eva膠之間的縫隙我會使用這種紙制的繩子來覆蓋。

I use a saw to scrape out the texture of Godzilla's skin.

哥吉拉的皮膚紋路是用鋸子刮出來的。

I cut out the fins using Eva foam.

背部的鰭就是用eva膠一片片的剪出來粘上去。

Detail of head- I have been trying many king of material to make the eyeballs but the results not as good as the show so i just cut out the small foam and make a shape of eyeball.

頭部細節- 我試過了很多種製作眼球的材料但是沒有一個適合所以只好用eva 膠的碎片剪出眼球的形狀。

 Arms- I use the paper rope which is the same material I use for covering the gap to make the arms.
Hands- hand is made form tinsel cover by cloth, and this is not the final look for hand.

手臂是用紙製繩子當成哥吉拉的皮，包在鐵線上。

手掌則是使用鐵線再包上一層布，但這還不是最終的樣子。

I spend 2 days to make this Godzilla and I haven't painted it yet. It still have to touch up more of the details.

我花了2天時間製作這只哥吉拉，還有許多細節必須追加而且還沒上色。

New Update

哥吉拉的尾巴也一層層的做出來，然後縫隙就用薄薄的紙來掩蓋。
I made the tail layer by layer and i use the thin paper to cover the gap between those layers.

for the color i always use acrylic paint and black for the base color as the texture easy to see, then apply a second layer grey. the last layer will be white, i use the weathering effect to present the texture of Godzilla.

 之後就是上色咯～
上色是使用黑色做底色，因為要讓紋路都塞滿黑色，之後再上一層灰色，最外的一層是白色，用刷的方式呈現。

下次將會更新背部鱗片的上色。
